Economia Azul em destaque na Visita de Estado do Presidente da República de Portugal aos Países Baixos

A DGPM - Direção-Geral de Política do Mar integra a comitiva portuguesa da Visita de Estado do Presidente da República de Portugal aos Países Baixos, a decorrer entre os dias 9 e 11 de dezembro. Neste âmbito, a Diretora-Geral de Política do Mar, Marisa Lameiras da Silva, participou no painel "A Shared Blue Future for a Safe, Secure, Sustainable, and Profitable Blue Economy", no âmbito do Economic Seminar: A Blue Connection Portugal & The Netherlands, organizado pela AICEP e pelo Nederland Maritiem Land.
Durante este evento de alto nível, que contou com a presença do Rei dos Países Baixos, Willem-Alexander, e do Presidente da República Portuguesa, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, a Diretora-Geral de Política do Mar destacou alguns compromissos nacionais em curso:
O Hub Azul - rede de infraestruturas para a Economia Azul;
A reindustrialização e descarbonização da economia portuguesa através da Bioeconomia Azul;
Os investimentos numa transição verde da indústria marítima;
A aposta nas energias renováveis oceânicas;
A inovação tecnológica e a investigação para promover o conhecimento do Oceano e novas soluções tecnológicas que contribuam para mitigar as alterações climáticas, a perda de biodiversidade e a poluição.
A Diretora-Geral de Política do Mar evidenciou as oportunidades que a Economia Azul oferece para empresas nacionais e startups, mas também do valor acrescentado para os setores tradicionais; salientando ainda a importância de apostar no desenvolvimento de uma Economia Azul sustentável, baseada na valorização dos serviços dos ecossistemas marinhos e do capital natural para todos os setores da sociedade.
